“Six Minimum Players”: Beckham and Neville call Amorim to receive support from Manchester United transfer

Manchester United Legends, David Beckham and Gary Neville, have asked Ruben Amorim to support significantly in the transfer market, despite overseeing the worst season of the Premier League in club history.

Amorim took over Erik Ten in November after a successful spell in Sporting Lisbon, but has not been able to oversee an increase in domestic fortunes.

The United cannot finish the 14th place in the Premier League this season after having suffered 18 losses in the competition.

The saving grace, however, has been the Europa League, in which United has advanced until the final. Love men will face Tottenham in Bilbao Wednesday with silver silver and a place in the Champions League next season on the line.

However, Beckham wants the club to stay next to Amorim and substantially invest in signing players that fit the 3-4-2-1 system that has often appeared an uncomfortable adjustment for the current squad.

“It’s not a great season and I think that’s kind,” Beckham told The Athletic. “When there has been no stability in the club, it shows it.

“We have been fortunate enough to be part of the most stable club with the same manager, owner, fans and players for many years. We know when you have stability at the club, succeed.

“I think we now have a very good manager. I think we have a lot of people trying to bring stability to the club. What our fans most care about, but what happens in the field and what happens in the field, people do not like it: our fans do not like it.

“But the only thing is that our followers show up week after week. There are 74,000 stadium fans, no matter What, no matter how much we play or who plays. The manager knows it, the manager understands it. That is why I like Ruben and I think he has a real opportunity here.

“He is a young man successfully under the belt and a great experience for his age. So I think he will make the changes he has to make.

“I think they definitely have to be supported to bring the players they want, but in fact I do not know the best. I do not speak with (owner of the minorities) Jim (Ratcliffe) that often, only occasionally.

“Ruben has to be supported as a manager to bring his team and philosophy; he is trying, but I think once he brings his team and his players, you will see something different.”

It is said that the United States is in a position to sign the next transfer window and are said to be Near an agreement for wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

However, sales may be needed to maximize the United head room. Star player Bruno Fernandes has been linked to a distance, while sales of home -made talents like Kobbie Minoo, which would be crucially counted as “pure benefit” for PSR purposes, have also been affected.

Beckham, however, is against the idea of both.

“I would like to think that you should not sell your captain (Fernandes). It has been exceptional,” he added. “We have all been critical in the moments of some United Players, but when we needed someone to step on, he has done so.

“I also hate (the idea) of any young player who has grown up in the United leaving the club. We should not sell players only for financial reasons.

“It should be what they are doing in the countryside and if they do not work, there is always a possibility; we all knew it, I knew it. If it did not act on the pitch, it did not matter what I had done in the past or what I was going to do in the future; there was a good chance that I would leave me on the bench or to sell.

“I would like to think that Manchester United does not sell players who have grown up at the club, understand and love the club. I don’t want to see players leave Manchester United if they care about United as me.”

Neville echoed Beckham’s feelings on the necessary investment level.

“It needs a great review in the summer. Five or six minimal players to change the direction of how he (Amorim) wants to play,” said Neville.

“There are at least two strikers, a central midfielder player, definitely two wing backs and another center. They need six minimum players.

“Ruben has been very good to identify the players who want outside the club; this is very clear to everyone. The club’s job is now to get them out and get replacements so that they like and wish on their team.”
