Harvard University faces Researchers associated with Iran.
In a letter sent this week, representatives of John Mulear, Michi. Tim Walberg, Michi, Chairman of the Education and Labor Committee; And Eliza Stefanik, rn.y., demanded from internal documents and communications from Harvard officials, who in detail about the university’s partnership with foreign opponents.
Legislators raised anxiety about Harvard’s repeated hosting and the preparation of members of the Xinjiang production and construction building (XPCC), a paramilitary organization authorized by the US government for role in the Genocide of the Communist Party of China against Uighur Muslims.
According to the letter, Harvard allegedly used Ministry of Defense Funding for partnership with Chinese universities on research with potential military applications.

Between 2020 and 2024, Harvard researchers also collaborated on at least four projects funded by the Iranian regime agent, causing concern for violations of US sanctions.

“We are deeply concerned about the services and resources provided through these events, may violate the US law and can be deployed XPC for further repression of Uighur and other ethnic minorities in China,” lawmakers write.
Harvard replied to the request: “We can confirm the receipt and respond to the letter.”

The letter indicates a number of specific studies: In one case, Harvard researchers have received DARPA funding to work with the University Faculty of Tinhua Materials with zero indexing-technologies that could promote artificial intelligence systems.
In another, Harvard’s researcher collaborated with Professor Zhejiang University in the field of polymer science research funded by the United States Air Force, which can apply to the construction of aircraft.
The third project provided for memory alloys, materials with aerospace applications, studied together with the University of Juators, also within the framework of the Air Force.
“Harvard researchers should not contribute to the military capabilities of the potential enemy,” the letter said.
Legislators also noted that Harvard researchers have regularly cooperated with Chinese military institutions on double use technology, including microelectronics, II and quantum science.
In addition, legislators expressed concern over the research on Harvard transplantation involving employees in China, citing increasing international control over forced practice of harvesting bodies in China.

“Harvard prepared members of the sanctioned Chinese paramilitary group responsible for the genocide, and its researchers collaborated with Chinese military universities funded by DOD and worked with researchers funded by the Iranian regime,” Mulear said.
“These are not isolated incidents – they are an alarming picture that is at risk of national security.
