Queen Latifah reveals if equalizer can return after unexpected cancellation

Latifah is currently focusing on partnering with Novo Nordisk to highlight the higher risk of cardiovascular conditions.

“Obesity is a disease and many people live with it. It affects 2 out of 5 Americans. That’s a lot of people – and it is disproportionately affecting people of color and it’s a chronic disease. But it’s manageable. So the goal is to highlight this,” explains Latifah. “Many people live with this disease. But it is also important to raise awareness of the link between living with obesity and cardiovascular disease. 70 per cent of people living with obesity are at risk of dying of cardiovascular disease, heart attack or stroke. We want to make sure they are aware of this and if they can do something.”

Latifah added: “There’s a website we’ve called Truthaboutweigh.com Where people can go for a lot of information and then hope to talk to their doctor about what to do next or how to have a conversation with someone they are worried about who lives with obesity and create a scheme. So we can start beating these numbers. “
