Police in India have arrested a local YouTuber on suspicion of espionage for Pakistan.
Jyoti Malhotra, which affects the journey from the Northern Indian state of Harian, allegedly traveled to the neighboring country several times – its last trip was in March 2025.
Police in Harian thank What she maintained communication with the Pakistan Verkhovna Commission official, which was expelled from India earlier this month.
YouTube’s father denied the allegation that she was a spy, saying she had gone to Pakistan after the acquisition of the necessary permits.
Ms Malhotat describes himself in social media as a “modern girl with old ideas” and has 377,000 subscribers on YouTube and 133,000 followers on Instagram.
But officers asked how she had financed her trips around the world, and her videos documented visits to places such as Bangladesh, China, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. She also visited several Indian areas and religious places. Police say she is not a well -known source of income.

Miss Malhotra is also being investigated on any connection with the Westhm attack, said Shashank Kumar Sawan, police officer near Harian Gisar, Ani.
They say they lead to others who may have cooperated with an impact that has no direct access to any military and defense information.
“She maintained connection with other influential factors on YouTube … She was traveling to Pakistan on sponsorship,” Mr. Savan added.
Her arrest occurs after Indian government shut Akhsan-Ur-Rahaim, an official of the Verkhovna Commission of Pakistan, who is supposed to be in touch to leave the country on May 13, claiming that he refused the activity, “without his official status in India.”
Pakistan also asked an employee of the Indian Embassy in Islamabad to leave to let go to “incompatible activity” with his privileged status.
According to the complaint registered by police, Ms. Malhotat met with Akhsan-Ur-Rahaim for the first time in 2023 when she visited Pakistan’s Verkhovna Commission in Delhi, seeking a visa to visit the neighboring country.
Her latest video in Pakistan was loaded in March, which was seen in Pakistan’s Verkhovna Commission in Delhi, who attended Ramadan’s dinner.
Other videos from Pakistan see her visit to Hindu and Sikh temples, famous local markets and interactions with the locals.
Arrests in India and Pakistan about espionage charges are not uncommon.
Ms. Malhotra’s arrest took place in the following days of military tensions between neighbors earlier this month.
