Gujarat Titans’s assistant coach Aashish Kapoor supported Shubman Gill’s leadership skills during the IPL 2025 in the middle of Gill reports that took over the captaincy of India Red Ball.
Kapoor estimates Gill’s evolution as a pattern, and is similar to Ms. Dhoni, referring to composite growth as a leader. This is Gill’s second season as a patron, but the young whisker seems solid with his leadership qualities.

Gujarat’s assistant coach praised Shubman Gill’s leadership maturity, as he balances team strategies with his personal performance on the field.
Gill’s leadership skills are at the right time when the BCCI looks for a new pattern for red ball format. Gill is playing a crucial role for his IPL franchise and directing his side to the ground.

Kapoor declared the similarities between Ms. Dhoni and Shubman Gill, as Gill faces a setback from some former players who do not have much experience in the captain team internationally.
Kapoor silenced critics, saying that when Dhoni became the pattern of the Indian team, he was also not captured anywhere.
“When (MS) Dhoni was captain for the World Cup for the first time, he was no captain anywhere. So no one knew, ten years below, he will be one of the best captains in the world,” said Kapoor.
“If you had asked someone at that time, including Dhoni, what do you think of your captaincy?
Gill is the Front-Corredor to become the new pattern of the Indian test team. In the ongoing IPL season, more than 600 races have passed in the tournament.
Shubman Gill’s record as a pattern
Gill has not led India to hate and the test cricket, but made his Captaincy debut in Zimbabwe in June 2924 just after the T20i World Cup.
Gill won his first series as a 4-1 captain and also scored most shots in the series.
The right hand baptism had the opportunity to lead the Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2024, but their debut season did not go well, as the Titans were eliminated from the tournament in the league phase after qualifying in the IPL finals twice.
Gill won 14 of the 24 games as a pattern at the IPL, IPL 2025, Gujarat has already qualified for the playoffs and are currently at the top of the table.
