Secretary of State Mark Rubio appealed to a potential meeting between the President Donald Trump And Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding the ceasefire transaction in Ukraine in an interview that aired on Sunday.

Rubio has joined Vice -President JD Vance in a meeting with Zelenskyy at the US Ambassador to Rome on Sunday.
Later, Vnes and Rubio met with Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to discuss trade, war in Ukraine and NATO’s expenses, the Vice President’s press report reports.
“Some countries in Europe are important US allies. But of course, we have some differences, as friends sometimes do, on issues such as trade, and we also have a lot of agreements, and we can work together and I look forward to talking,” Vnes told reporters at the top of the meeting.

After the meeting, the Vice President’s office published a statement stating that “the leaders discussed their overall purpose to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine and presented updates the current state of negotiations to cease fire and lasting peace.”
