Support AFL can bring a new impetus to the OPM attempt to stop these hiring practices in the federal government. But it can also be met with a fair degree of criticism.
Although efforts to end or replace 40-year alternative assessment systems are not quite radical, the submission comes when the Trump administration continues to face public servants for reducing agencies and reducing labor.
The case, if they are considered in court, can again take a discussion across the country about hiring practice.

However, AFL sees its efforts as support for OPM and the end of what it claims is virtually “impossible” to create a widely used public service exam.
“Public service is public trust,” Epstein said. “The presidential administrations on both sides have long advocated the termination of uncertain bureaucrats that will not make a good turn for the American people.”
Neither the OPM nor the White House immediately answered the Fox News request for a new court submission or their opinions for existing hiring practices.
