Graham, who grew up just down the road from Valnaoa, called it a “moment of full circle”, standing around the same section of land where floods through mobile domestic communities swept last fall.
“To see how these families are back to a real home … we Just thank Godhe said.
For the first dedication, the young mother stood on the doorstep of her new home, squeezing the baby and wiping tears. Her family has lived in a close vacationer since their trailer was destroyed by floods. Just a few days earlier, she welcomed the newborn into the world.
“God provided me asylum,” she said gently. “He helped us approach the family. It was such a long road, but I continued to cling to faith and patience.”
She thought Samaritan’s wallet could help restore her old trailer. What she received was something far because she was waiting: a brand new, completely furnished house.

“I didn’t think they were going to bring us a new trailer,” she said, her voice cracked. “But it was much better. I feel really emotional. Hard to lose the house and all things you worked on. But seeing it, it brings me excitement. I’m ready for me and my family to enter and finally return my place.”
Earlier in the morning, another mother and her three children first entered her new home. Their previous mobile home was defeated by the fall of the tree during the hurricane, leaving them moved and uncertain in the future.

Both houses were built of enhanced walls resistant to the weather and a solid foundation intended for listening for years. Each of them came put on and moved. Each family received not only the keys to its new home, but also the Bible, and the Graham gesture, which said Graham reflects the heart of the mission.
“These are the houses built by the peoples of God in the name of Jesus,” he said. “We want these families to know he didn’t turn to them. He loves them.”
Samaritan’s wallet builds dozens of new houses across the region and delivers up modernized mobile units for survivors. The houses weigh at £ 7,000 than the standard models and enhanced from top – roof, windows, walls and floors.
“These houses are the first two of many,” Graham said. “And we are ready to provide hundreds yet.”

Before the recovery began, almost 35,000 Samaritan volunteers resulted in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. They cut down the trees, cleaned the garbage, the mad roofs and pulled the flooded houses. The ministry also conducted the largest civil lift in US history, providing more than £ 700,000 for £ 358.
In addition to housing, the organization replaced hundreds of vehicles and assisted thousands of families with grocery and basic needs.
But these are personal moments – quiet prayers, tears of relief, the joy of the children come into the bedroom – which determine the mission.
“We thank everyone who gave,” Graham said. “Thousands and thousands have contributed. But most of all, we thank God. Because he is the one who makes it all possible.”
