Officials at Palm -Springs, California, investigates an explosion on Saturday morning, which killed one person and damaged the birth rate.
The blast occurred a little before 11:00 local time (19:00 BST) less than a mile from the city center Palm -Springs, near several enterprises, including US reproductive centers.
The statement of the Birth Clinic states that none of their institution was injured, but one person was killed and several were injured.
California governor Govin Newsm said in a statement that the state is coordinating with the local and federal authorities to respond to the incident.
US reproductive centers in Palm Springs said the vehicle exploded in the parking lot near its building.
It is unclear what is the cause of the explosion.
The US California Central District Prosecutor Bill Essale said in a report on X that the Ministry of Justice “knew about the blast that took place this morning at Palm Springs.”
He said the FBI was on stage and investigated when “it was a deliberate act.”
The birth clinic stated that their laboratory, including all eggs and embryos, remain “completely safe and intact”.
“We strongly conduct a complete security inspection and confirmed that our operations and sensitive medical areas do not affect the explosion,” – said in the birth clinic statement.
The BBC appealed to the police department Palm Springs for comments.
