Brown noted that she used her voice to help “as many women as possible, especially abusive survivors,” as a sponsor for the women’s domestic violence charity. (Brown shared in her 2018 biography, Brutally honestlyshe had tried to take her own life four years earlier.)
“I get to know myself more and more, especially where I’ve come from, feel so unjust and unworthy,” said Brown Us. “I’ve managed to find my little way to a peaceful place.”
