Emotions went to the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Friday as a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) paid a moving tribute to one of the most famous children in the city, Rohit Sharma.

The newly baptized “Rohit Sharma Stand” was officially presented at a great ceremony attended by Rohit’s family, teammates and dignitaries, marking a leading moment in the illustrious Cricter race.
The event, which was held only one day before the IPL 2025 season resumed, saw the eastern Wankhede Stadium stadium the name Rohit, a tribute appropriate to the Borivali boy who got up in Cricket’s World Star.
