Fortnite is now unavailable on iOS worldwide, Epic Games said on Friday after Apple has blocked a popular resumption of popular games in the US
“Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission, so we cannot release the app store in the US either at the Epic Games store for iOS in the European Union,” official account or Fortnite wrote in a message On the Social Media Platform X. “Unfortunately, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unlocks it.”
CNBC turned to Apple for comments.
Last week, Epic Games introduced Fortnite to the Apple App Store, a month after the judge ruled that the iPhone manufacturer did not allow to charge the purchases that consumers make on iOS app.
Fortnite was pulled from the app store in 2020 after Epic Games updated its software to contact your own site to avoid Apple’s commissions. Apple developers charge 30% of the purchase fee that people make through the app.
