After gaining 26.25 ₹ Crore of IPL, ex-shr KKR is now heading to PSL 2025

Bangladesh’s cricketing icon Shakib on Hasanis willing to make a significant return to the Pakistan Super League (PSL)joining -Lahore qalandars for the rest of the tenth season of the league. The star comeback in the competition of the first Pakistani T20 follows a notable absence and comes after it was not sold to the auction of the Premier League (IPL) of Indian (IPL) 2025, where he had registered a base price of 1 crore.

Re -enter PSL after 8 years hiatus

Shakib’s re -entry in PSL’s fold marks his third franchise in the league. He previously represented Karachi Kings in the 2016 season and Peshawar Zalmi in 2017, showing his comprehensive abilities in previous editions. His decision to join Lahore Qalandars, who is currently in fourth place in the PSL point table, injects considerable experience and a party winner potential in his squad as the tournament progresses.

The transfer to the PSL arrives at a time when Shakib is not part of the configuration of the Bangladesh National Selection. After retiring from the shortest international format, it is not part of the staff of the series against the United Arab Emirates that begin on May 17. This absence of T20 national commitments has paved the way for its participation in the PSL 2025.

Shakib’s return to the competitive cricket through the PSL is especially remarkable, as it follows considerable rest. His last competitive appearances were in the Abu Dhabi T10 league for Bangla Tigers in November of the previous year and his last international departure for Bangladesh was during the Asia Cup in September 2024. He also lost the ICC Champions Trophy.
