Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, director general of the Indian military operations (DGMO), praised India team Kohli after his removal of the test cricket. Lt Gen Ghai drew a parallel with the cricket, using the name Kohli as a reference during a press conference on the Sindoor operation in New Delhi.
Wanted Kohli has retired from Test Cricket, ending his 14 -year career in the longest format of the game. Kohli settled as a prominent performer with both the bat and a captain through different throws and opponents. He took to Instagram to share the news of his retirement from the longest format of the game.
During a press session in Nova Delhi on Monday, Rajiv Ghai emphasized the recent retirement from Kohli from the test cricket. Rajiv described India’s air defense capabilities making a comparison with the cricket.
Your daily dose of cricket!
“Today, we may also have to talk about Cricket, because I realized that Virat Kohli has retired from the test cricket. Like many Indians, he is also my favorite cricketter,” said Lieutenant General Ghai.
Wanted Kohli played 123 games and scored 9,230 ridges at an average of 46.85, including 30 centuries and 31 fifty. Kohli led India in 68 tests, reaching 40 wins with an impressive percentage of 58.80%. It was essential to guide India in the final of the World Testing Championship (WTC).
The Senior Commander then cited the ASHES series 50 years ago to illustrate the force of Indian Air Defense Systems. Ghai shared how the dominance of Australians on England inspired a famous saying: “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thommo fails to do it, Lillee has to do.”
“In the 70’s, when I was a school student, during the Ashes series, the Australian fast bowls, Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lillee, were very popular.”
“They destroyed the English battle line and the Australians said one saying:” Ashes in the ashes, dust to dust, if Thommo fails to get you, Lillee has to do it. “Our defense network of several layers works in the same way.
The ASHES series of 1974-75 is remembered for Dennis Lillee and the brutal rhythm attack by Jeff Thomson. They played a key role in the 4-1 victory in Australia on England. Thomson, with his unorthodox action and the dirty rhythm, claimed 33 doctors with an impressive average of 17.93.
In the meantime, Lillee took 25 doctors at 23.84. His relentless short -delivering barrier left the Batsmen of England demoralized. This aggressive approach not only dominated the series, but also revolutionized fast bowling in the test cricket. This was the beginning of rhythm and intimidation in the game strategy.
Rajiv Ghai directed special press information on India’s response to Pakistan’s aerial attacks. Ghai shared the results of Operation Sindoor, along with Vicealmirall in Pramod, Director General of Naval Operations, and Mariscal Air AK Bharti, Director General of Air Operations.
