As preparations for the return of the IPL 2025 Rhythm Collection, the BCCI also works in silence in the international evaluations of India. Prior to the five -game test series in England, India A will play touring games against the Lions in England that will prepare players for the senior team.
According to Cricbuzz, India has already completed a template for the tour of England, with only a few pending final decisions. Indian selectors gathered at the Click Center in Mumbai on May 6, just one day before Rohit Sharma retired from the test cricket.
BCCI ends India a template; Announcement scheduled for May 13
The final squad of England Lions towards India is likely to be announced on May 13. They will play three four -day games on the tour, with two games scheduled against the Lions of England (from June 30 to 2 and 6 to 9 June) and one against the senior team of Indian Cricket (June 13 to 16).

It is likely that Abhimanyu Easwaran will be appointed Captain of India A. On the other hand, the Indian Cricket team will have a new captain after Rohit Sharma’s retirement, and is expected to be chosen on May 23. This tour will help the BCCI decide which players can play for India in the future.

Shreyas Iyer’s possibilities depend on whether Kohli decides to join the template or not on England’s tour. He has not played a test in more than 15 months. There is also talk of Mukesh Kumar, who is known for his ability to swing the ball, being a potential asset for England’s tour.
The inclusion of Mukesh Kumar in one of the plants will depend on the distance that his IPL team advances in the tournament. In addition, Yash Dayal, considered a strong left arm option, is also in the mix, with many who see it as a better option than Khaleel Ahmed for the England tour.
There is no update to Sarfaraz Khan. After a long rest of injury, selectors may want Sarfaraz to play a few domestic games before considering the selection.
