Rob Zombie is known for making horror movies and heavy metal music with an industrial flavor, but he is not the only member of his family to investigate such passions. His brother, Michael David Cummings (more famously known as Powerman 5000 Frontman Spider One), also knows how to start a Mosh pool and send shifts down movie fan spikes. From this writing, Cummings has collected three horror flicks (“Allegoria,” “Bury the Bride,” and “Little Bites”), but they were not his only forums into horrific entertainment on the screen.

Before he began to direct horror films, Cummings-along with the author “Scrubs” created Eric Weinberg and adult swimming alum Curtis wine- “Death Valley,” short-lived MTV short-lived fake series about copies and monsters. The story focuses on Undead Task Force Officers (UTF) and their camera crew as they deal with wolves, vampires, and zombies in the San Fernando Valley Los Angeles. Think that “Reno 911” meets “Brooklyn Nine-nine” with a little “what we do in the shadows” thrown into a good measure.
Despite his similarity to some dear comedy series “Death Valley” will go down in history as one of the Better shows to be canceled after one season. A shame, in fact, as a forgotten MTV fake procedure had a great default that deserved to be milked for more than 12 chapters.

Death Valley gave criminal motives to his monsters
“Death Valley” is quite the foundation for a comedy horror series about monsters. Instead of employing the establishment of a standard week’s monster battle, it explores a world where humans learn to adapt with the monsters that suddenly appeared a year earlier. Undead task force cops down the ground and their supernatural cases are portrayed as as normal as a regular officer who pulls down a thief, but they still find themselves in some dangerous situations.

The monsters are not your “Argh! We eat human beings” threats, either. In this universe, vampires can also be pimps, Werewolves stars in adult films, and blood rolls around in cyclist gangs. Some chapters are also tributes to classical films, most especially “an attack on UTF Precinct,” which focuses on vampires trying to break one’s own out of prison. It is a clear homage to the Big Siege is always “Attack on Center 13,” John Carpenter “ And it’s a lot of fun. The show combines the procedural ropes of the police expertly with horror comedy, finding much of its humor in the ordinary.
“Death Valley” is also notable for tapping Jordan Vogt-Roberts to navigate some chapters, preparing the way for him to go on to find success with “The Kings of Summer” and “Kong: Skull Island” years later. All ingredients were in place for this show to become popular, but, unfortunately, it wasn’t supposed to be.
