Many sports events throughout India have been suspended or postponed in the midst of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan. The Bengal Cricket Association (CAP) announced the indefinite postponement of season 2 of the Bengal Pro T20 League, confirmed by an official press release on May 9.
The second edition of the Bengala Pro T20 Women’s League began on May 16 in Birbhum, with the final scheduled for June 4. In particular, the men’s tournament was scheduled to begin the same day as the final of women. The Bengal Cricket Association launched the women’s competition last year.

“Given the current national circumstances, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAP) has decided to postpone the start of season 2 of the Bengal Pro T20 League“, The association said in a statement.
“A revised calendar, including updated sites and accessories, will be shared after a detailed review of the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities and parties and any advice published by the BCCI,” he added.
