Former Captain of the National Cricket team of England, Michael Atherton, has shared his views on the removal of the Test of the Indian Cricket National Team Pattern, Rohit Sharma.
Michael Atherton speculated that Rohit Sharma announced his retirement to avoid the shame of being sacked, as he sensed that he was on the letters.

On May 7, Rohit Sharma announced his decision to withdraw from the test cricket and confirmed his participation in the next five-game test series against the National Clicet team in England.
His retirement left the site and left the shocked cricket world. Rohit Sharma retired with 4301 tests in 67 games at an average of 40.57. He directed India in 24 test games and recorded victories in 12 of them.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Michael Atherton said that Rohit Sharma was going through a bad phase as a test captain because the team lost under his leadership and was not happening. He made:
“It was that retirement completely his own decision, or he had the idea that he was about to be pushed or the ax arrived because there was a report, the day before Rohit’s announcement, that the selectors had decided to move on.
“So this is speculation, we do not know, but ultimately, the decision was not a surprise because it is a bad combination for no captain, as you know, and as I know well if you lose any captain.”

Michael Atherton said that the retirement of the Rohit Sharma test did not surprise him because he was always on the cards and, with the amount of talent available on the Indian cricket, selectors were always going to continue.
“He is 38 years old. There is a great depth of talent in the Indian cricket. Thus, given this level, this depth of talent and competition, it means that you will not be so patient when the shape or results are against.
“And in that sense, I didn’t think it was a surprise. But it’s always sad when a test race was over. It has been an important cricketter. The record or statistics would not suggest, of the first rank in terms of a test cricket,” said Atherton.
A fun test career: Michael Atherton
Atherton also described Rohit’s testing career as a fun, saying that he will be considered one of the oldest in the Cricket Hate, but the same cannot be said about his test career, despite a good record.
“ I think people will look at him and his best format is the cricket hate. He will go down like one of the biggest hatred in hatred, right? But a fun testa career.
