Cacace’s lost opportunity

Part of the problem is that Cacace, 36, missed a great opportunity to get to know himself on the world stage when he abandoned his IBF pen weight title after capturing Joe Cordina last May in an 8th-round technical tie in Riyadh.

Instead of defending your IBF belt against your mandatory challenger Eduardo ‘Sucre’ NúñezCacace diverted the strap to get a better fight against the missing Josh Warrington last September. Cacace won, but it seemed mediocre.

Although Cacace had lost this struggle for Núñez, he would still have been asking for lucrative domestic clashes against Warrington and Leigh Wood. It was a mistake on the part of Cacace because he has again been the invisible fighter who was earlier before his trouble with cord.

The way he performed against Warrington, maybe it is a good thing that did not happen with the fight with “Sugar” Núñez (27-1, 27 kos), because he would probably have won his clock cleaned by the hard Mexican. However, it seemed wrong that Cacace resigned to his IBF title instead of defending him against Núñez only to take the Hill Warrington.

Implications of the title shot

If Cacace wins on Saturday, he should help him approach a worldwide shot at 130 if it is a high goal. However, wood is considered by fans. Therefore, Cacace will not get too much victory over him. If Anthony wants a fast world title shot, he must take the contestant Raymond Ford.
