Although Pugh stunned in the whimsical tulle number, she was criticized because her nipples were visible through the sheer fabric.

Pugh, however, not letting the trolls get her down. “Listen, I knew when I wore that amazing Valentino dress there was no way it wasn’t going to be commented on. Whether it was negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing,” said the Star wonder wrote via Instagram. “I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me nervous. I wasn’t before, during or even now after. What has been interesting to watch and witness is how easy it is for men to completely destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for all to see.”

She continued: “Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the complexities of my body that make me, me. I’m happy with all the ‘flaws’ I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14.”
