The IPL Governing Council has called for an emergency meeting to decide on the destination of the 2025 IPL due to the growing tension between India and Pakistan.
Development occurs at the back of the party between the kings of Punjab and the capitals of Delhi. Both teams played at Dharamsala’s HPCA Stadium on Thursday (May 8) when authorities called the game and asked the fans to leave the stadium immediately.
The game was called after 10.1 of the tickets of the Punjab Kings. Shortly after the first installment of the eleventh, one of the stadium light towers turned off before the players were asked to get out of the field. The BCCI soon published a statement, saying that the party was abandoned due to a “major technical failure” at the HPCA stadium.

“Due to an electrical interruption in the area, one of the HPCA stadium light towers do not work badly. BCCI regrets the inconvenience caused to stadium attendees,” said the BCCI.

Immediately after the IPL 2025 party party between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, the IPL governing body called an emergency meeting. According to reports, the governing body is likely to be a call to IPL 2025 at the meeting.
According to The Times of India’s Sahil Malhotra, the IPL teams are in panic and can have a postponement of the tournament.
“The IPL’s governing body meeting is underway. A call could now be made to the tournament. The panic has taken the IPL teams,” Malitra wrote about X.
