3 doors down a singer Brad Arnold Currently battling Kidney Cancer Step 4 – and can use some prayers.
“Got some news that isn’t so good for you today,” shared Arnold, 46, in Instagram video On Wednesday, May 7. “I was sick a couple weeks ago, I went to hospital, was checked and was diagnosed that I had a clear cell renal carcinoma (cell) that had metastasized in my lungs.”
According to the National Cancer InstituteClear cell renal cell carcinoma, or CCRCC, is a type of kidney cancer.
The singer noted that his cancer was labeled as Step 4, which is not “very good,” however he still trusts his faith in God to get him through.
“We serve a mighty God and can overcome anything so I’m not afraid,” explained Arnold. “I’m really, sincerely, I’m not afraid of it at all. But it’s going to cancel our tour this summer and sorry for that. And I’d love to raise me in prayer every opportunity you get.”
Arnold went on to say that he may need to listen to song 3 Doors Down “It’s Not My Time.”
“Thank you very much. God loves you. We love you. See you,” he shared at the end of the video.
Many other musicians flooded the Arnold comments section, sending prayers to the singer including Creed Singer Scott Stapp.
“If anyone has the faith and strength to face this battle, it’s your brother,” Stapp wrote, 51. “You and your family are in my everyday prayers 🙏 I can do everything through Christ. I think I can speak for all of us, we raise you in prayer right now without doubt about your complete healing! I love you …
Arnold was one of the founding members of 3 doors down side by side Matt Roberts and Harrell’s Todd. Chris Henderson He later joined the band in 1998. 3 door down, which now includes Arnold, Henderson, 54, Greg Upchurch, Chet Roberts and Justin Biltonen, He rose to fame with their first single in 2000, “Kryptonite,” and they have continued to release hits as “When I’m Gone” and “here without you.”
The band suffered previous hardship in 2016 when Roberts died of drug overdoses in 2016. It was 38. (Roberts left the band previously in 2012 because of health complications.)
Following his death, Arnold shared a tribute to Roberts on the 3 door down social media page.
“Words cannot express our sadness as we hear of the loss of our brother, Matt. He was a truly talented artist and a great friend,” he wrote Via Facebook. “His memory will live through the songs we all created. He will be sadly missed.”
