It is clear that Chennai Super Kings will have to rebuild his squad after his struggle in the continued season of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). For the first time in its story, Chennai-based dress has not been able to qualify for the playoffs for two seasons in a row.
With just two wins of 11 games, the five times champions are currently at the bottom of the point table.
They started their season with a victory over Mumbai Indians, but things have only dropped since.

As they struggled to gain ways again, they also lost the services of their captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, due to an injury.
With Gaikwad Sideded, Mrs. Dhoni returned to put the captain’s hat again, but also could not change the team’s fortunes.
For years, CSK has been proud to have a stable template and not to do too much. However, it is clear that they will have to rebuild the workforce.
And, while CSK is looking for the season with a good note, its CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, said that the franchise would rebuild the squad. He also decided to blame anyone for the unfortunate performance of the team this season.
When he was asked about the poor exhibition of the team, Viswanathan simply said that many CSK players lost their shape at the same time.
“We are not blaming anyone and we will rebuild ourselves,” Viswanathan told Revsportz.
“Many players lost their way at the same time, this is the reason. They are all very good players, but it can go to any team. In addition, Ruturaj (Gaikwad) was injured. You won’t always win the cricket. We haven’t played well this time. But we’ll get back hard.”
For years, CSK has trusted experienced players to do things. They were also called “father’s army” to have too many senior players in the squad. However, things could change in the coming years, as Viswanathan said that the franchise will now focus on youth.
“They are very talented young players. Then we will also focus on youth,” said Viswanathan.
It could be one of the reasons why the franchise has come out in some young players as injuries this season.
Ayush Mhatre, 17, and Dewald Brevis, recently signed up. With CSK that seeks to sign young players, the focus is launched again in Mrs. Dhoni.
At the age of 43, Ms. Dhoni does not become younger and is sure to say that he does not make useful contributions with the bat regularly.
When asked if the current season could be the last of Ms. Dhoni, Viswanathan made it clear that the position of the franchise has not changed and that veteran Wicketkeeper-Batsman has received the freedom to call his future.
“It’s the call of Mrs. Dhoni, we will never say anything to him. If he makes a decision, he will inform us. He has not told us anything,” said Viswanathan.
In the meantime, CSK will be in action on Wednesday (May 7) when Kolkata Knight’s pilots are assumed in the Eden Gardens.
