If you had to guess the gross movie in the United States for 2014, American Captain: The Winter Soldier It would be a good speculation, except that it was only number four; Guardians of the galaxy was number three. A large franchise film, The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part One in two, and all of those obstacles lost out to the most gross domestic film of the year, An American sniper. The Oscar -winning war film from Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper drew $ 350 million domestically, nearly $ 100 million more than Winter soldierAnd now it’s been Netflix’s top fair since he joined the streaming service.
An American sniper Adapts the biography of the controversial war hero Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooperis a naval seals captive with 160 confirmed killings to his name, including a shot of 2,100 yards, one of the longest killings confirmed in the world’s history. The film runs through Kyle’s life, from when he entered the armed services to when he met his wife, Taya (Sienna Miller), and then his multiple duty travels in Iraq and Afghanistan. Eastwood is not interested in covering the high -level reasoning over the wars; Instead, he has focused on Kyle’s life and the impact the war had on it.
Chris Kyle was not a perfect man, and in fact officials were wide -ranging on his stories exploding for killing men on the state side, and he was not a perfect husband, An American sniperAlthough he led his legend, at least pays a lip service to the dark side of a living as a soldier. In the back of the film, between duty trips and missions to hunt al-Qaeda leaders, we see Kyle battling through his PTSD and the difficulty he has in civil life. That’s and, of course, the worst animatronic baby in film history.
For An American sniper ends on a tragic note, Clint Eastwood’s Gamble paid off, not only by securing a box office record, but with six Oscar nominations, including the best photo and best actor. The film only won for editing best sound, but the best director was awarded to Eastwood by the National Film Review Board, while Bradley Cooper won the best male actor in the Mtv Film Awards. Debates surrounded the film during the award season, however, with critics saying he went too far to depict Chris Kyle as a hero, while Cooper himself said he was involved with soldiers being forced to make impossible decisions by bureaucrats and careless leaders who put them in a harm.
No matter how you choose to see the movie, An American sniper is a success, and its continued popularity over a decade later is witnessing the perfect combination of Eastwood and Cooper. Today, the film has a fresh score of 72 percent by critics on Rotten tomatoes, alongside an 84 percent audience score, and as a test, wherever the film is available for it streamIt will be near the top of the chart. Modern war films have been struck or lost, and the decades war on terrorism has still been hard nuts for cracking studios, which makes the Eastwood War Drama stand out even more as the years go by, and nothing can surpass it.
