Mikel Arteta says Arsenal has been underlined this season and that he admitted to Liverpool to get the title of the injured Premier League “in his belly.”
The Gunners head to a third successive finishing of second place after having succeeded in preventing Arne Slot’s side from claiming first place with A 5-1 dismantling of Tottenham last Sunday.
Usually, those of Arsenal’s persuasion enjoyed the misery of Spurs, but Arteta acknowledged that it was a different feeling last weekend.
Asked to lose it again, he said, “Big Time. In my belly. But I understand that it is a team that has been much more consistent.”

After completing Manchester City twice in successive years, there was a school of thought that suggested that this year would be Arsenal.
“It’s not that simplistic,” Artea added.
“We have a lot to play in the Champions League and the Premier League and our goal is there.
“At the end of the season, we have many weeks to reflect.
“The only thing we can control is our actions and the emotional state. We have not achieved what we wanted.
“I will use this (time) to congratulate Liverpool with the way they have done it. They have shown consistency and deserve to win it.
“As a club for the last ten, 15 years, they have been competing and winning these great trophies. They did it because they did a lot of things very well, so they are deserving champions.”
Arsenal goes to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night for the second stage of his The Champions League semifinal finished 1-0 of the game to the EmiratesAnd Arteta says that his European career is a useful memory of what they have been able to do despite a list of parallel injuries.
“I was struck long before the game against PSG at home,” he said.
“I saw Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Caalaarii, Thomas Partey, Kai Haviertz, Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus and Jorginho all together in the Dresing Room.
“This could have been an initial line and we do not have them and we have not done it for months. No one speaks to the building, but this is happening.
“I’m proud of them.”
None of his wounded on foot will return to the game tomorrow with Bournemouth tomorrow, but Arteta is still hopeful Jorginho, Calafieri and Haviertz will return before the end of the season.
