In December 2024 Instagram a summary of photos from a brother James DuggarJill, 33, was seen sitting next to her husband, Derick Dillardon a brown sectional sofa. The married couple, who married in 2014, appeared to be talking to Jim Bob, 59. Jill and Dillard’s three sons – Israel, Samuel and Freddie – were also lying on the same couch while opening presents.
Jill is one of 19 children of Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle Duggar. The Counting On the matriarch and patriarch also celebrated Christmas with children Jessa, Jedidiah, John-David, Jeremiah, Jason and more.

“May you feel Jesus, the Prince of Peace, very close this holiday season,” he wrote through it Instagram on December 26, 2024. “Over the past few days (and more to come!) we celebrated some birthdays and the birth of our Savior at home together and with church family, friends and relatives.”
Jill and Dillard chose to take a step back from her family after leaving TLC’s Counting On in 2017 but currently working on a relationship.
“I feel like we are in a rebuilding phase now with healthy boundaries still in place,” Jill said via her Instagram Story in November 2024. “We try to socialize whenever it works well and we have the bandwidth to navigate things.”
Almost a year earlier, Jill said she hadn’t seen her parents in a while.
Since 19 Kids and Counting jumped Jill Duggar into the spotlight, she has experienced plenty of ups and downs with her parents and siblings. Fans first met the Duggars in 2008 when their TLC reality series, originally titled 17 Kids and Counting, premiered. “I have heard that they have done that (read my Calculate the Cost memoir),” he said on the “Unplanned” podcast in January 2024, referring to his autobiography published in September 2023. “I heard they were, like, listening to it on audiobook or something. I don’t know. … They’re my parents and I’m going to tread lightly.”
According to Jill, she is don’t want to “create more controversy” with her extended family.
“It’s like when you get together during the holidays, and there are certain things you don’t like to bring up,” she explained. “It’s probably a sore subject. … This is not the healthiest way to go about it. So we’re still on the road to figuring things out.”
Jill has been seen since in various family gatherings with her mother and sisters, most of whom also still live in Arkansas. Jill and Dillard even traveled to Nebraska and Tennessee last year for the respective marriages of brothers and sisters Jana34, s Jason24.
