Lily Allen takes her criticism of a pop -up -chantor back Katy PerryInvolvement in the flight of blue origin.
Allen, 39, issued an apology during a chapter on Monday, April 28, of her “miss me?” podcast Where he blamed his own inner misogyny “for commenting in the past about the journey. After Cohost Allen Miquita Oliver mentioned Meghan MarkleThe singer expanded on the recent play.
“Because we’re talking about a very famous female person who is a bit divisive, I would really like to apologize for being meant for Katy Perry last week,” noted Allen. “I really didn’t need to bring her name into it, and my own inner misogyny was.”
Allen admitted she regretted Past commentary.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about him, and he was completely unnecessary to stack with her,” he continued. “I disagree with what they did, but she wasn’t the only person she did. She was possibly the most famous and the one who shares people most. There was something in me who decided to choose her as the person who should … anyway, I have to, I’m sorry.”
Allen concluded: “I would have been hurt if it had been me and someone in my industry used and my name. I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Katy Perry, I know you’re not listening to the show, but yes, I’m sorry.”
Earlier this month, allen wEighed in on Perry’s time with the blue origin crew for all women. The group – which also included Morning CBS host Gayle KingOwner of blue origin Jeff Bezosfiancée Lauren sánchezAerospace engineer Aisha Bowecivil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and a film producer Kerianne Flynn -Ant to space on April 14 for an 11 -minute flight.
“Do we want to talk about Katy Perry and his friends all going up into space for 12 minutes?” Allen asked in a chapter in the past, that Oliver answered him, “I think that if they want to go into space for 12 minutes, we can talk about for 10 seconds, and that’s about all he deserves.”
Allen asked “in all seriousness” what is the point of the space trip Yes.
“I think it’s so out of connection,” he said. “We’re on the eve of the recession, people really struggle to make ends meet and get food on their board. I don’t know how things feel in London, but in New York, it’s really f **** ing expensive at the moment. It’s hard to leave the house without spending $ 500, and it’s not even going to me, to go to me.”
At the time, Allen explained that she was “very financially really,” adding, “(but) it clearly feels clear how difficult it is to make her work in a city like this. I know that it is not necessarily a nationwide issue for New York is definitely on the steeper end of the country than other places, it seems hard at the moment at this time at this time.”
Allen added: “(They sent Katy Perry to space) for no reason at all! It’s like… We send people into space to find things, as a scientific reason. And the fact that they’ve made it some sort of feminist.”
While Allen walked according to her criticism, she was not the only one to express their confusion over the flight of blue origin, with Joe Rogan, Jessica Chastain and Olivia wanted talk out too.
Perry, 40, for her part, have remained tightly for the backlash. During his Stop Lifetime Tour in Mexico on Wednesday, April 23, Perry asked the audience, “Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?”
