Conor Benn said today that he believed he again saw his fight against Chris Eubank Jr. “Won by a point” In his 12 -round middle -weight clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. He says he is not going to “cry for spilled milk” complaining -the result. Benn is completely disappointed.
I hate to break this to Conor, but did not approach to win. It was 9-3 in favor of Eubank JR, and it was fortunate that the struggle did not stop in rounds 11 and 12 because Benn made a royal beating.
The judges had 116-112, 116-11.2 and 116-112. Many fans felt that Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 kos) devastated the last nine rounds of the fourth round. Eubank Jr., 35, fought for the first three rounds when he chose to fight outside, but from the fourth round, he changed his style and fought inside.
Benn showed a zero capacity nearby and made a bad beating of the fourth round at twelve. Rounds 11 and 12 were fierce to look because Conor was hammering without stopping with Fast Fire combinations by Ebank Jr. and close to being stopped.
“I saw the struggle back and thought he was winning it for a point,” Conor Benn said Ring MagazineSpeaking of his confrontation against Chris Eubank Jr. Last Saturday.
“Chris Eubank Jr. is at 160 Talksport Boxing. “Conor Benn, his stock stands out of the fight. It’s not 160, not even forgot about 154.”
I agree with Adam. Eubank Jr. It must focus on the fight against Canelo Alvarez, without returning it to work unnecessarily with Conor Benn. We saw this struggle. The resale will be worse for Benn, which will probably be eliminated. Its stock is high because it passed 12 rounds with a medium weight, although an ancient domestic level.
It would be a different story if Conor passed 12 rounds with half -weight champions Janibek Alimkhanily, Erislandy Lara, or Carlos Adames. Then I would be saying something about Benn, but it is not a big problem that traveled the distance against an old No -avenue as Eubank Jr., because he has never climbed above national and European levels during his career.
“If you can get off until 147, it has changed your opinion that becomes a world champion. I think you can overcome the tastes (WBC Welterweight Mario champion) and really achieve something magnificent.”
Babies Barrios for his WBC belt would not make Benn be “mandating”. If it defeats Barrios, who looks like The weakest bond At 147, I would only duplicate what Gervonta Davis and Ring-Rusty Keith Thurman already did. Conor Benn may probably beat Barrios, but they can also be many other fighters in 147. He is just a boy who was raised to his WBC title via email.
Barrios reaches a 12-round draw against Abel Ramos (28-6-3, 22 ko) last November in a struggle that many boxing fans saw as a clear victory for Ramos.
The champions that Conor cannot exceed 147 are Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis (IBF and WBA) and Brian Norman Jr. (Wbo). These boys are very good for Benn, and I doubt that the promoter Eddie Hearn would dare to agree with them because he would know that the end result would go bad for his little money maker.
Eating -with any of these guys would not be a good idea for conor at any time from the rest of his career. Hearn is not stupid. He will not put Benn with them and see that he wiped out. Conor’s money from British audiences would dry up at night after being dismantled for these two.
