Images of the grave of Pope Francis in the Church of Santa -Magoriya came out

Pope Francis’ graves at the Santa Memoriary church were released in Rome.

One white rose was depicted on the stone grave, which bears the name he was known during his pontificate, below the crucifixion, illuminated by a single spotlight.

The late Pope was laid on vacation in the church – one of the four main basil in the Italian capital, and the one he regularly visited during his Cardinal and the Pontiff – at a private ceremony after his state burial in the Vatican on Saturday.

Thousands of mourning fell past the grave because the church opened for the public on Sunday morning to give respect to Pope Francis, who died on Monday at the age of 88.

Among them was the Italian Rosario Corolla, who said it was “very emotionally” seeing the grave. “He really left us a mark,” he said the Associated Press.

Polish pilgrim Maria Brzezinskaya felt the rest of the rest will fall. “I feel it is on the Pope’s path. He was simple and his place,” she said after visiting Reuters.

Francis was particularly committed to the Virgin Mary, and Santa Major was the first church to be dedicated to her when it was built in the 4th century.

Basilica sits near the Colosseum, in the step of the stone from the infinitely fussy and chaotic central station of the city – far beyond the Vatican, where the popes are traditionally fixed.

But it was one South American Pontiff for a long time.

Earlier, his senior priest told the Italian newspaper that Pope Francis said he wanted him to be resting there in 2022, citing inspiration to the Virgin Mary.

“I thought it was strange that he wanted him to be buried here in this basilica,” said Amay Morris, another pilgrim.

“He chose this one (churches). So I thought it was really strange. It’s really humiliating to be here.”

Heads of State, Heads of Government and Monarchs from all over the world took part in the funeral of Francis – as well as Hundreds of thousands of Catholics who lined up streets that leads to the Vatican to pay your respect.

The hymns were played out on gigantic speakers, sometimes drowning the sound of helicopters flying over their heads, before the 91-year-old Cardinal Giovanni Batista restored the sermons.

The Cardinal emphasized that Pope Francis repeatedly urged the world to “build bridges, not walls.”

The funeral was also a place for holding US President Donald Trump’s meeting and Valadimir ZelenskyWhat he later said that there was “the potential to become historical.”

Later, Trump questioned the readiness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the three -year war in Ukraine, a conflict that Pope Francis regularly called for peace during his papacy.

After the public burial of the coffin of Pope Francis was carried out through Rome in a slow procession.

Authorities said 140,000 people shot the streets, clapping and waving like a hearse – a converted white papmobil – moved along the Tiber River and spent some of Rome’s most famous attractions: Ball, Forum and National Monument to Alta Dili Patrhea.

After a period of mourning, attention will soon be paid to the choice of the next pope.

The date has not yet been set, but it is supposed to begin at May 5 or 6, and 135 cardinals will be present, making it the biggest conclave in modern history.
