The festival reached a settlement with 277 tickets in 2021, when it was ordered to pay each recipient of $ 7,220.

Fyre Festival 2 has since been postponed, and this week, Macfarland announced that the Fyre brand is selling.

“We decided that the best way to achieve the set goals is to sell the Fyre Festival brand, including its brand, IP, digital assets, Media Reach and Cultual Capital, an operator who can fully implement her vision,” McFarland wrote in Instagram on Wednesday.
Macfarland said the Fyre brand “deserves teams with scale, experience and infrastructure to realize its entire potential.”
