Netflix is the most popular Streamer in the world, and a good reason for that is because it continues to add original ones and new films from other studios.
May’s no exception as the Streamer adds films that will meet all tastes. In the mood for a low key enchantment for a group of Ornery grandmothers cooking? Stream Nonnas.
Or how about slasher throw back based on popular 90s teenage books, Street fear? Then make a date with the Prom Queen. Finally Netflix in May is streaming The wild robotA great animated film based on a dear children’s book that is not for children only.
‘Fear Street: Prom Queen’ (2025) – May 23

In 2021, Netflix released not one, not two, but three Street fear movie A week after the other: 1994 with Maya Hawke. 1978 with Zinc sadie and 1666 with Kiana Madeira. The interconnected films were very popular for the Streamer, but why did Netflix take four years to produce a sequel?
We may never know the answer but we are still proud Prom Queen about to scare subscribers around the world. Slasher set in the 1980s relates to the intense competition between Queen Prom candidates “IT” high school as they campaign aggressively to get the most votes to be crowned on stage. When an unpopular candidate joins the race, the popular women begin to mysteriously disappear one by one.
Last weekend, several recent, high -profile films became available for streaming, such as Companion on Max, Wolf Man on Peacock and The Room next Door on Netflix. Joe Scaravella (Vince vaughn) Just lost his mother, and he doesn’t know what to do with himself. Looking for a purpose, he decides to open an Italian restaurant in Staten Island. It is not an ordinary restaurant, however, as many of the chefs are retired in grandmothers who can barely stand each other. Surrounded by these no-free Nonnas, will Joe find meaning in life yet?
No one will be confused Nonnas over Oppenheimer’s – The story is shameless sentimental and the Italian accents are as thick as the Marinara sauce that the Nonnas put on their pasta. But the movie looks comfort, and is a hoot to watch Susan Sarandon. Tall and Brenda Vaccaro Playing women of a certain age that they can’t help raming insults on each other.
‘The Wild Robot’ (2024) – May 24

This 2024 adventure was streaming on Baun before and will soon be available to Netflix subscribers in May. When a roz robot (Lupita nyong’o) Accident lands on a seemingly deserted island, it sends a signal for restoration by its corporate masters. While waiting to be erected, Roz befriends with various animals he finds on the island, including a slimy fox called Fink (Pedro Pascal) and bright (Connor’s kit), Gosling Roz orphan shadows from potential predators. As Roz becomes more at home with his new animal friends, he must make a crucial choice soon: leave the island or wait and be a “wild robot.”
Looking things, April can be a very slow month for movie lovers on Netflix. The Streamer may add more titles to Lineup next month as we approach April. But for now, the options are slim. The good news is that among the movies coming to Netflix in (…)
The wild robot is a great animated movie that goes back to old school flicks like The iron giant and Nimh secret. The movie has a great voice cast that also includes Catherine O’Hara and Bill Nighy Like two older animals who give Roz valuable advice. The wild robot It was nominated for three Oscars this year and is already a classic in its creation.
