China will allow scientists from six countries, including the United States, to study the cliffs collected from the moon – the scientific cooperation that occurs when both countries remain blocked in the slide of the trade war.

Two US-funded NASA institutions have access to the moonlines collected by the Chang’e-5 mission in 2020, China’s National Space Administration reported on Thursday.

CNSA Chief Shan Zhnd said the samples were “a common treasure for all mankind,” local media reported.

Chinese researchers were unable to access the NASA moon’s samples of the US legislators in cooperation with China.

According to the 2011 legislation, NASA is forbidden to cooperate with China or any Chinese companies, if specifically authorized by Congress.

But John Logsdon, a former director of the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University, said BBC Newshour that Moon Rocks’s latest exchange is “very little related.”

Although there is control over space technology, the expertise of lunar specimens was “nothing to military importance,” he said.

“This is international cooperation in science, which is the norm.”

Washington imposed tariffs on Chinese goods reaching 245%, while Beijing returned from 125% tariffs for US goods.

US President Donald Trump had previously hinted at de -escalation in the trade war, but Beijing denied that there were talks between the two parties.

In 2023, CNSA called for a call to study his Moon Chang-5 samples.
