Federal prosecutors announced their intention to seek the death penalty against Luigi Mangion, the court document said on Thursday night.
The submission was received by the court news service on Thursday. It comes one week after Mangion was charged on federal charges.
“Luigi Nicolas Mangion deliberately and specifically engaged in violence, knowing that this act has created a serious risk of death for a person,” the document reads.
