Big blast in Russian ammunition depot east of Moscow

The blast occurred in the Russian depot with ammunition east of Moscow, military authorities and local media report.

On Tuesday, an explosion at the warehouse of ammunition occurred in a defense institution in the western region of Vladimir. It is believed that the site is a key place of ammunition for the Russian army.

The Russian military reported the blasts, saying that the ammunition exploded after the storage building caught fire from the “security violations”, state media reported.

A state of emergency was announced in the district area, and the residents of the nearby villages were evacuated.

Both Russian, Ukrainian media channels and telegrams accounts posted videos and images from the site, showing a bush flame with high flames and mushrooms from the explosion.

Local media is an object in the 51st arsenal of the main missile and artillery directorate, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) northeast of the Russian capital.
