Former Indian Cricter Harbhajan Singh has praised Ashish Nehra for his coaching possession with Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 season. The ex-off-spinner also said that the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) should designate Nehra on a coaching role with the National Clicking team in India.

In a video shared on its YouTube channel, “Harbhajan Turbanator Singh”, Cricter’s Commander stated that Ashish Nehra is the best option for coaching the Indian Cricket team. However, Harbhajan Singh said that Nehra could reject the offer due to the next calendar.

“I think there is no better coach than him for the Indian team in the current stage. He is a great coach. BCCI should ask -whether he wants to work with the Indian team or not. I do not think he agrees because he will not be able to give so much time. But there is no better option than he,” said Harbhajan.
Ashish Nehra is the lead coach of Gujarat Titans since 2022
The Cricket Control Board in India appointed Gautam Gambhir as the new Team India main coach. Rahul Dravid, who ended his career after taking India to a T20 World Cup victory in 2024.
Nehra has been the lead coach of Gujarat Titans since his debut in 2022. He guided the team to an IPL title in the first year and a runner -up in 2023. Nehra became the first Indian coach to win the IPL title in 2022.
The team could not qualify for the playoffs in the 2024 season in the absence of key players like Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Shami. Nehra often communicates directly with his players from the rope on the limit. He also served as a bowling coach for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
