Before the Dybray trial begins, look back at Cassie’s claims against the Music Mogul:

Gotham/GC imagesIn November 2023, Us confirmed that Cassie filed a legal case against Diddyaccusing him of repeated rape and mistrust that lasted nearly a decade. Cassie and Designy dated and on between 2007 and 2018.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story,” Cassie said in a statement at the time, “and to speak out for myself and for the benefit of other women who are facing violence and abuse in their relationships.”
In the legal proceedings, Cassie claimed that Desoly had begun a pattern of control and mistrust after they met in 2005.

Sean Combs
Dave Benett/Getty ImagesShortly after Cassie’s legal proceedings were filed, Diddy refuted the claims of his ex in a statement provided by his lawyer.
“Mr. Combs denies these offensive and disgraceful allegations mercilessly,” his attorney Ben niceman said in a statement to Us. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subject to Ms. Ventura’s continued demand of $ 30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unambiguously rejected as a prominent blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now turned to filing an amusable and seeking law and a lawless clutch lawful and pay.
In November 2023, Cassie settle her lawsuit Against Digy, saying, “I have decided to resolve this issue friendly on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, supporters and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
Designy lawyer said the settlement does not indicate that Design is guilty. “Exactly so we are clear, a decision to settle a legal case, especially in 2023, is not an admission of wrongdo Us. “Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the legal case does not undermine his flat denial of the allegations. He is happy that they have reached a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

John Shearer/Getty ImagesNearly six months after Cassie and Designy settled their legal case, CNN got video photos of the rap moglaw allegedly attacked Cassie in 2016.
“The gut video has only confirmed the annoying and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” Cassie attorney Douglas Wigdor have said Us In a statement after the pictures re -faced in May 2024. “Words cannot express the courage and courage that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
At the time, Diddy apologize for his actions in a video posted via Instagram. “It’s hard to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you have to do it,” said Desert. “I was f *** ed up. That is, I hit the bottom of the rock but I don’t make any excuses. My behavior on that video is unforgivable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusting.”
In a court related to a federal indictment obtained by Tmz In March, the RAP Mogul Solicitors claimed that “CNN had purchased the only known copy of the hotel surveillance photos, uploaded those photos to free editing software, changed the video and then destroyed the original photos, although he knew the federal investigation and repeatedly recounts the federal investigation.”
Neat have denied The allegations, saying they never changed the video and did not destroy the original copy of the photos, which was kept by the source. CNN also pointed out that they had broadcast the story about the video several months before Designy was arrested.
Weeks after reports circulated Cassie will testify in the case of Digy, her lawyer filed a proposal on April 17 asking the judge to remove Subpoena against her. According to the Cassie Legal Team, the Subpoena rapper sent her on March 19 asking for her financial records and “all draft memories, autobiographies, narratives, diaries, journals or notes… and any communications for plans to publish or threaten to publish such a document.”
In a letter to the judge obtained by UsActing US attorney Matthew podolsky It was agreed with Cassie’s proposal to eliminate the subpoena, called it “clearly inappropriate” and stated that the draft memories would be “an unacceptable hearth.”
