According to the National Golf Fund, 3.7 million young people, aged 17, played golf at the course in 2024, increasing 50 percent compared to five years earlier.
One of the biggest times, Anika Serenostam, is behind new efforts to help even younger people play sports. Sörenstam collaborates with Bank of America for an initiative called “Golf with us”.
“This initiative is close to my heart because it’s a way to help the game of golf, and we’re gonna do that by giving young kids the opportunity to make golf more affordable. Yearly Membership, You get to play on thousands of courses for five dollars or lesse.
And Slezst says that golf is not just about competition on the course. “If you are golflist, you need so much patience and, as you know, when you are in the world or just life in general, patience is really important,” she says.
Sörenstam also indicates discipline, attention and determination, qualities, she said, both in golf and in life outside sports.
