Central BCCI contracts: Complete list of new Indian players and promoted players

The BCCI, on Monday (April 21), announced the list of players centrally hired for the current 2024-25 season. A total of 34 players received the contracts, while seven of them won it for the first time.

In addition, four players have also been abandoned. Shardul Thakur, Ks Bharat, Avesh Khan and Jitesh Sharma were on the C -degree C list last season, but they did not get the course of the current season.

The players have been divided into four categories. The higher category (degree A+) has four players: Rohit Sharma, virated Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadja.

The A+ Degree category continues unchanged. Although Rohit, Kohli and Jadja have retired from T20is after India won the T20 World Cup last year, the BCCI has given them the most important contracts.

Grade A has six players. Although the number of players in the Bachelor’s A category has not changed, a new player has been added to the list.

With Ravichandran Ashwin withdrawing from the international cricket, he has been replaced by Rishabh Pant in the A. Pant undergraduate category in the Bachelor’s Degree in the previous withholding.

Grade B has five players, including Shreyas Iyer, which was not considered for central contracts last season. On the other hand, Grade C has 19 players, including Ishan Kishan, who was not considered for contracts for the last time.

Seven new players get BCCI central contracts:

Seven players have obtained central BCCI contracts for the first time in their career. The seven players are:

  • Nightish Kumar Reddy
  • Dhruv jerrel
  • Abhishek Sharma
  • Sarfaraz Khan
  • Akash Deep
  • Varun Chakravarthy
  • Rana hard.

6 players debuted in India last year

Of the seven players, six debuted in Team India last year. Only Varun Chakravarthy had debuted in India in 2021 and dropped shortly after. Chakravarthy was remembered on the Indian team last year and has done well since then.

On the other hand, DHRUV Jewel, Sarfaraz Khan and Akash Deep debuted his India during the home test series against England last year. Abhishek Sharma debuted during the T20i series against Zimbabwe last year, while Harshit debuted during the test tour in Australia.

In the meantime, Rishabh Pant is the only player to promote the last central BCCI contracts, as he has moved to Grade A from Grade B.
