The highest official in one of the largest political parties of South Africa was convicted of visiting a self -proclaimed pastor who escaped Malawi after he was charged with rape and fraud.
Floid Shivamba, General Secretary of the party Umkon Iiz (MK) former President Jacob Zuma, Retivated frames on x He visited the Easter service at the Bushary Shepherd Church.
Mr. Bushary of Malawi was one of the most famous preachers of South Africa when he was arrested and accused of fraud in 2020.
After his release, he managed to escape into his home country in unclear circumstances. South Africa has been trying to extradite it since then.
Last month, the court in Malawi supported the extradition request, but Mr. Bushar and his wife Mary, who was faced with the allegations of fraud.
Mr. Bushary is a millionaire who created churches in several African countries.
He is accused of mining poor people who desperately wanted to improve their lives by selling the goods, including “miracle oil”.
The self -proclaimed prophet claims that he cured HIV people, changed the success of the impoverished and at least once, went on the air.
Mr. Bushars were also accused of rape. He and his wife denied any violations.
The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development of South Africa, Mmamoloko Kubayi, said the Schivamba Association of Mr. Busher was a “brazen act of disrespect for the legal system of South Africa”.
She added that “exciting those who think it could avoid accounting.”
Mk Shivambu’s own party also released a statement to distance himself from his visit, saying that he started it “in his personal quality and without a mandate and a party knowledge.”
The party added that it “condemns all forms of violence based on gender and exploitation of vulnerable communities, especially innocent Christian believers, people who manipulate faith for personal enrichment or evasion.”
In a report on X on Saturday, Shivamba praised Mr. Bushars for his “good work”.
“Thank you, my brother, the Prophet Bushira for taking us and for kind words,” he wrote.
“The government scale of the work you do for economically, educational, socially and spiritually uplifting, our people now and in history.
“I know that leadership and people of Malawi appreciate and appreciate so many large -scale programs that you do for people on earth.”
He rewrote the footage, shared by Mr Bushary, who showed a self-proclaimed pastor who asks hundreds of believers in his Church of Jesus nation to welcome the South African politician.
Under the leadership of the former President Zuma, the recently formed MK party finished third in the election last year – the main factor in the management of the Anc, which for the first time after the 1994 democratic elections were introduced.
Shivamba joined the party last August from the rival fighters of economic freedom (EFF), and later appointed the Secretary -General – one of the main positions of the party.
