Don Lemon hits back at Trump supporters after online backlash: ‘Too bad’

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is standing by calling Trump supporters “dumb idiots” telling critics “butthurt” is “too bad”.

At the beginning of his YouTube show on Tuesday nightLemon addressed the backlash he received after calling MAGA fans “stupid and dumb” in a rant days earlier.

Although he insisted he was responding to people who had a “racist” response to President-elect Donald Trump appointing Sriram Krishnan as a senior adviser on artificial intelligence, he continued to attack Trump supporters.

“So, as always, everyone turns out to be well-dressed! I don’t mean all Trump supporters,” Lemon said. “I’m talking to people with MAGA minds who will say and do anything to find an excuse for any behavior by Donald Trump, any bad behavior by the MAGA movement.”

He continued: “So, yes, I stand by my word! And if you don’t like what I said, too bad, I don’t care!”

Lemon also called it “hypocritical” for Trump supporters to attack him for his language while defending their “cult leader.”

“That’s what you’re confused about. You expect more from me, an independent journalist and former cable news anchor, than from a man sitting in the Oval Office. Because his mouth is worse than mine,” Lemon said.

He added: “He calls everyone dumb. He calls black women dumb. He calls me dumb. He calls people stupid. He calls Kamala Harris stupid. He calls her names. He calls people names all the time, it’s all in your feelings!”

In his original video, Lemon called out fans President-elect Donald Trump “dumb fucking idiots” and mocked their “stupid MAGA brain”.

“You’re so damn stupid and you deserve it. You deserve it because you’re so dumb,” he said. “Yes, I will rejoice at your stupidity.”

“You’ve been co-opted because you belong to a goddamn cult and you don’t even realize it, because you have a stupid MAGA brain and you don’t understand it,” he added. “How stupid and dumb are you?”
