Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pattern, the Ruturaj Gaikwad pattern, has spoken for the first time since he was ruled out the rest of the IPL 2025 season due to an elbow injury. Chennai Super Kings’ heartbeat expressed its disappointment for its first tournament, calling the situation “really clear.”
Ruturaj Gaikwad led the Super Kings in five games at the IPL 2025, and managed to win a single victory. He suffered an elbow injury during a game against Rajasthan Royals (RR), but continued to play for inconvenience in the coming games against the Punjab kings (PBKs) and the Delhi capitals (DC).

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the rest of IPL 2025 due to an elbow injury. Ms. Dhoni has returned as captain of Chennai Super Kings. Gaikwad, who took over Dhoni’s captaincy by the 2024 season, was forced to deliver the baton to Dhoni.
In a video shared by CSK A X (formerly known as Twitter), Gaikwad stated his disappointment in the injury, but thanked the fans for their support. He referred to Dhoni as “Young Wicketkeeper” and waited for the team to improve under his leadership.
“He really missed the future part of the IPL due to a shabby injury to the elbow, but thanks for your support so far. Yes, we have been fighting for a while, but now that a young metal leader who leads the team, we hope that things will change,” said Ruturaj.

I will be with the team: Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad confirmed that he will remain with the template of Chennai Super Kings. Gaikwad said he had hoped to help the team recover from his hard start. However, he accepted the situation as something out of control.
“I will be with the team, I will really support them. I would definitely have loved removing the team from this situation. Some things are not controllable and, as I said, I certainly want to support the team from the mouth and, in hope, we will have a great season,” Gaikwad added.
Chennai Super Kings faced Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11
Chennai Super Kings started his season with a victory in the starting match against Mumbai Indians. However, they suffered four straight losses and are ninth on the point table with only two points and a net execution rate of -0,889.
Ms. Dhoni, who captured CSK during his triumphant campaign 2023, returns to the head after Gaikwad’s injury. He has directed the franchise to five IPL titles. Dhoni’s return could be the boost the team needs to reanimate their campaign failure.
CSK will take on the champions defending Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MaNambaram stadium in Chennai on Friday, April 11. Fans want Dhoni’s return as captain to shape his IPL 2025 team campaign.
