Pope Francis was spotted without his traditional papal clothes when he visited St. Peter’s basil on Thursday.
The pontiff briefly stopped to say hello to the visitors, sitting in a wheelchair, putting on black pants, a white long sleeve shirt and a striped blanket thrown around his shoulders. He also had an oxygen tube under his nose.
On Wednesday he held a private meeting in the Vatican with King Charles and Queen CamilaWhere he wished them a happy 20th anniversary. In the pictures released by the Vatican, the Pope can be seen by his usual white papal outfit – also called a home dress.
