Meghan Markle already becomes honest on her new podcast, “Female Founder Confessions.”
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, opened for her “scary” experience with Preeclampsia Postpartum During the first chapter from her new series containing a guest Wolfe Whitney herd. During the episode, Meghan noted that she and herd – founder and chief executive officer of Bumble – had gone through a similar experience after giving birth.
“We both had very similar (though) experiences that we didn’t know each other at the time, with Postpartum,” Meghan shared on Tuesday, April 8, of “Confessions.”
He added, “And we both had preeclampsia. Postpartum preeclampsia. It’s so rare and so scary.”
Meghan, who shares a son Archie the Prince5, and a girl Lilibet princess3, with a husband Prince HarryShe detailed her battles with juggling her various responsibilities when dealing with his medical affairs after pregnancy.
“And you’re going … and you’re still trying to juggle all these things, and the world doesn’t know what’s happening quietly,” said Meghan. “And in the silence, you are still trying to exhibit for people. And in the silence, you are still trying to display mostly for your children. But those things are huge medical intimidation.”
“I mean, life or death, indeed. It’s like very scary,” Herd agreed, 35.
According to the Mayo clinicPostpartum preeclampsia occurs when someone experiences high blood pressure and excess protein in their urine after birth. The condition usually develops within 48 hours of giving birth and can lead to seizures and other complications if not treated promptly.
On Tuesday’s podcast, Meghan also mentioned managing her workload as CEO and the founder of her own lifestyle, As everwhile being a wife and mother. She credited her “solid family network” and “lovers who can fill the cup” and helped her inform the challenges of launching her business.
The Duchess revealed that she usually works from her home office and her daughter, Lilibet, often has calls with her.
“Lili is still naps. She is being built early, and she is naps … she only has half a day in primary school,” explained Meghan. “So if she wakes up and she wants to find me, she knows where to find me. Even if my door is closed to the office. She will sit on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all executives. And here we are.”
