In the 15th game of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025), the Led Hyderabad Sunrisers (SRH) in Pat Cummins (SRH) faced the Kolkata Knight Riders of Ajinkya Rahane (KKR) on Thursday, April 3.
Sunrisers Hyderabad faced a great defeat in the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders for 80 runs at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Bowling first in the match, SRH was not at his best and allowed KKR to record a huge 200/6 score on the board. Pursuing the goal, Srh’s battle unit failed miserably and went from 120 to 16.4 to face their biggest loss in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Speaking to the broadcasters after the game, Srh’s pattern, Pat Cummins, seemed quite disappointed and said that the goal was obtained. Cummins said:
“It’s not a good time. I think this was a Gettable, quite good. He left too much in the field and then it was short at the end.”
Pat Cummins struck the SRH shake unit for the first time, saying that they have to define realistic expectations, as it is not a good sign. Said:
“We have to be realistic, three games in a row that did not come out. We have to look back if we could have chosen better options. Our batters are the best when they take the game, but looking back we might have taken different options.”

Srh’s field in the game against KKR was quite poor and Pat Cummins openly blamed the defeat of the defeat. Said:
“(About what was wrong), it was mainly our field, in general, bowling was not bad. We should have taken some catches and stopped them a little before.”
In the end, Pat Cummins revealed the reason for not interpreting Adam Zampa and spoke of his formula for dealing with loss. Said:
“(At Adam Zampa playing) We only launched 3 turning surfaces, the ball didn’t take us too. So we chose to go without it.”
“(On how this loss will face), I will probably approach it if we could have used different options, but we do not want too much.
How did MRH act in the previous IPL party against KKR?
The previous game of Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Kolkata Knight Riders was in the IPL 2024 final at the Ma Chidambaram stadium, Chepuk, Chennai. Srh had a night to forget while collapsing under pressure and they faced a loss of 8 wicket in the game.
Opting first by Bat, Srh fought from the outset, and Travis Head fell by a golden duck and Abhishek Sharma was dismissed by a beauty by Mitchell Starc.
The average order could not stabilize the entrances, as doctors continued to fall at regular intervals. Aiden Markram (20) and Pat Cummins (24) were the only ones who beat decently, but SRH never found any impetus.
Srh was undergoing a tremendous pressure for Mitchell Starc, Vaibhav Aora, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Harshit Rana, and were dragged by only 113 in 18.3 points, the lowest total ever in an IPL final.
Defending a modest score, Srh needed 3-4 early advances, but his bowls could not find it.
