President Donald Trump announced the plans to cut a tree that is said to have been put up by a former president Andrew Jackson.
In the truth of the social message on Sunday, Trump said he was working with “wonderful people at the National Park” to make “huge improvements to the White House, keeping and protecting history!”
“One of the interesting dilemas is a tree planted many years ago by the legendary president and General Andrew Jackson,” Trump described. “This is the southern Magnolia who came from his home, Hermitage, In Tennessee. That’s good news! “
“The bad news is that everything should end, and this tree is in a terrible state, a very dangerous danger, when entering the White House, not less, and it should be removed,” he continued.

The historical tree will be sliced in the coming days, and Trump wrote that it would be replaced by “other, very beautiful trees.”
“Historical wood from the tree will be preserved by the White House staff and can be used for other high and noble purposes !!!” The president added.
Jackson reportedly, who served as president from 1829 to 1837, planted two Magnolia trees near the White House in honor of his wife, Rachel, who died in 1828. But, according to the National Park Service (NPS), the connection of trees with the old Hicora can be sent.
“Historical photographic documentation shows that Magnolia first appeared in this place near the southern portico in the 1860s, and the trees are attributed to President Jackson,” the agency explained.
