Chase Matthew lost his glasses once on stage: How fans found them

A ritual before the show

Lucky charm

I always wear my cross necklaces. I never pull it off. It’s on right now. I sleep in it most of the time. This one I got from my manager. The most awkward moment

One time my glasses came away, and they went in between the barrier between the pool and the catwalk. I was trying to highlight the safety guy, like, “Hey, my glasses!” He didn’t understand what I was saying and walked away, and finally the fans were like, “He talks about his glasses!” This same dose hops the barrier and grabs my glasses, ’em hands to me. And then they tried to kick him out because he hopped the obstacle. And I was like, “No, no, no!” I had to stop the whole show to save that guy. But yes, embarrassing, ‘because when I don’t have my glasses, I’m so blind. I swear I can’t see my hand in front of my face. It’s wild.

A wildest fan encounter

One day someone wanted me to sign their prosthetic leg. So this prosthetic is carried through the crowd and they give it to me, and I’m like, “Okay, yes, cool.” And so I sign it and then this girl, like, hops up to the stage. She’s like, “Thank you!” It was just a wild encounter, but it meant the world for her and I’m glad I could do that. Put a smile on her face, do you know?

Most dear souvenirs

I have a souvenir that Jason Aldean gave me after the Desperado Highway Journey. At the end of the last show, Rolex gave me. I have a case. Coming soon, I’m going to put it in a beat cabinet where I can display it and brag it for. I have been worn once. I wore it to one of his events that he invited me afterwards. That’s the day I showed it, but I’m afraid of a mess of it. He has the Desperado Highway Journey Engraved to his back, and is very special. I didn’t even know what it was at first.
