The stunning but subtle eye makeup closed the red carpet down. So naturally we’re just have to get the scoop of the chief master behind it all, Vincent Oquendo. In a unique conversation with Weekly UShe Cut it down step by step with the exact products he used on the actress.
“When I showed Jenna the combination of the black eyelid with the spark on her head, she felt she looked like the unicorn skin of the film and was immediately excited,” said the famous make -up artist Us of the inspiration behind the aesthetic.
Amazingly, the vibrations of tone-slash-clasoral-who described Oquendo as “East Village punk, do not meet unicorn” -mor complex to achieve. “I’m a huge fan of negative space, so there are some parts of the eye make -up that have nothing but the tone of the natural skin,” noted Oquendo.
To create the look “double wing eyelid”, the Pro first grabbed Dior’s Diorshow on Crayon Stage in #099 Black. He applied the anti-Smudge formula along the upper lash line and pulled a classic winged eyelid. The pencil then dug along the bottom lash line to create another “double” winged effect.

John Nation/Getty ImagesAs he reminded her Us: Don’t forget to apply it along the bottom water line, as it did over Ortega. “This is the perfect way to create a punk -inspired look that is flatter at almost any eye shape,” explains Oquendo.
Next, the Diorshow 5 Color in #073 Pied-Dec And the “bright black shadow” swept over the eyelid, “carving into it” with cotton swabs (in particular, the type that has thin, precise suggestions). Laying the shadow of the eye over the black eyelid added the correct hint of glitz along with the “feathery, yet precisely a double -dropped look.” For the prestigious ending, Lashes emphasized Ortega with Diorshow’s Diorshow Mascara in #090 Black.
