Former Indian Cricter Aakash Chopra struck a media dam to publish a non -verified report on Riyan Parag after the IPL 2025 shock between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Guwahati. Chopra was disappointed with the frequency of the tone invasions.
The IPL 2025 witnessed its second security breach when an amateur ran into the countryside to meet Rajasthan Royals’ Riyan Parag at the BarsaPara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday, March 26. The fan managed to touch the feet of Parag and hug him before being escorted by security officials.
A media outlet stated that Riyan Parag had paid a $ 10,000 fan to storm the field and touch their feet. Aakash Chopra came to X to criticize the publication and shared a screenshot of the article.
Chopra said that the holder was sensational, although the report did not provide any proof to support the allegation. He emphasized that such a misleading content came from a main media house.
“He stumbled upon this article … The headline is explosive, obviously. But there is nothing mentioned in the article on how they found out that Riyan paid a fan to touch his feet. Nothing at all. In the Bait journalism world, this is a new minimum. And these are the main means, BTW,” Copra wrote.
An amateur questioned Aakash Chopra about the increasing frequency of tone invasions during the IPL, which highlights security concerns.
In response to the consultation, Chopra condemned the incidents. He warned that if these breaches continued, the cricket could face a tragic moment similar to the infamous attack on the Monica Seles tennis star.
“Ohhh yes. This has to be stopped. If this continues to happen, the cricket is not far from its time of” Monica seles “. It should be taken seriously,” Chopra responded.

Security breaches have become more and more frequent in both the international cricket and the Indian Premier League. A similar incident took place during the IPL 2025 workshop between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where a fan violated security to bring to Virat Kohli.
Rajasthan Royals has endured a harsh start of their IPL 2025 campaign. They suffered a straight loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Despite the grant of 286 runs against SRH, the IPL’s inaugural champions presented a commendable struggle with the bat before losing by 44 runs.
However, his line of battle fell against Kolkata Knight’s pilots. They only published a modest total, with DHRUV Mortel as the highest scorer with 33 runs. Riyan Parag has achieved only 29 runs with the bat in two outputs, and raises concern if leadership responsibilities affect their performance.
Rajasthan Royals aims to rebound again from their bad start when they are taking on Sunday, March 30, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati.
