Sudanese armies set up Khartum Airport with RSF

The Sudanese army said the BBC that it had been restored by the Khartoum airport, with a paramilized RSF, noting the last territorial benefit in a fierce two -year civil war.

General Mohammed Abdel Rahman al-Bilawi said the troops had completely secured it and may be able to clear the rest of the RSF fighters by the end of the day.

On Friday, the army has been moving fast since the restoration of the Presidential Palace, and civilians are celebrating on the streets as they move.

RSF has controlled most of the capital since the war began in April 2023. Overall, hundreds of thousands were killed across the country, and millions were forced to leave their homes.

Earlier, the Army spokesman told the BBC that the troops had confiscated the Manchia Bridge, the last bridge on RSF, together with the military camp in the Southern Group.

But the war is far from over.

RSF still holds almost the entire Darfur region in Western Sudan, where eyewitnesses said earlier this week that dozens of civilians were killed when The air force bombed the market.
