Former US Prosecutor Jessica Aber is suspected of died of “natural reasons,” police said

According to police, a former US prosecutor, who was found dead in Alexandria, Virginia, died last weekend.

Aber worked as a US prosecutor in Eastern District of Virginia from 2021 to 2025 before retreating on January 20, the same day the president Donald Trump returned to the White House.

In her letter of resignation, she called her role “pride outside.”

“I am deeply grateful to Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kane and President Biden for his opportunity to head this position and Prosecutor Garland for his unwavering leadership,” she wrote at the time, citing two senators who represented Virginia. “I am proud of the work we have done with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners to fulfill the law and create the trust of society.”

One of her largest legal victories took place last year, shortly before her resignation, when the ex-analyst-Tsru Asif Rahman pleaded guilty to tracing documents on the secret documents of the Israeli application for Iran’s strike.

Rakhman was accused of publishing documents on Israel’s strike last year on Telegram, which forced the country’s military to detain their original plans.

Aber criticized Rakhman’s actions as “a violation of his oath, his responsibility and law” and stated that the leak “was at risk, undermining the US foreign relations, and violated our ability to collect vital intelligence in the future.”

In 2019, Aber received Department of Justice Prize Assistant Prosecutor General for exceptional service.
